A Renegade Farm lease may be the answer for you. Leasing a horse will answer the above questions and provide you with a good basis to decide if you are ready for horse ownership. Leasing also provides you with the opportunity to practice what you learn in your lessons and to ride with others who share the same passion for horses. It will allow you to decide if you are really committed to riding without the expense of owning the horse. Unlike most farms, we pay all the veterinarian bills, unless you are directly responsible for the injury/illness, and, will provide you with a substitute horse while your leased horse is recuperating.

How does a lease work?
Renegade Farm offers on farm leases to qualified riders only. The horses may leave the premises for trail rides and horse shows but they must be boarded at Renegade Farm. The initial term is for 3 months(you still pay monthly) and then the lease is renewed monthly with a 30 day notice of non-renewal. Junior riders, those students under 16 years of age, must have a parent or guardian with them during their lease rides unless prior arrangements are made with Renegade Farm.

Types of Leases
There are three (3) types of leases, all requiring a minimum of 2 lessons per month and a share in the cost of the shoes if the horse wears shoes during your lease term. The lessons are in addition to the cost of the lease. All lease rides are arranged in advance with management so the horse you lease is available for you when you want to ride. If you do not own your tack, Renegade Farm will provide it at no extra charge. All barn rules must be followed during lease rides.- 1/4 lease: allows 6 rides per month + 1/4 cost of shoes
- 1/2 lease: allows for 3 rides per week + 1/2 cost of shoes
- Full lease: allows unlimited rides per month+ full cost of shoes
