Farrier Visits
1 hour riding, either English or western
Summer Day Camp
Ages 7 through 16 yrs.
During July and August, Renegade Farm offers a day camp entirely dedicated to learning about horses and best of all, riding horses. Each week, either a: a 3 day camp or a 5 day camp are offered for ages 7 through 16. One 5 day week camp is dedicated to those experienced students wishing to learn about the beginnings of jumping. Each weekly session is limited to 5 students.
Topics taught during camp may include:

A minimum of a 1 hour riding lesson each day of camp
Safety rules when working around horses
Parts of the horse
Parts of the saddle
Taking care of equipment
Horse nutrition
Proper grooming and saddling the horse
Mane & tail braiding
Wrapping the legs for show or support or due to an injury
Basic First Aid for the horse
The responsibilities and requirements of owning a horse
Different types of saddles, bridles and bits
How to lunge a horse
Bathing a horse
How to make horse treats
Entry level jumping
